Chief Financial Officer

Hamilton Health Center, Inc., a FQHC servicing residents in Central Pennsylvania, is currently recruiting a Chief Financial Officer. As a key member of the senior management team, this successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing potential business growth opportunities and providing strategic and fiscal leadership by establishing long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.  The successful candidate will oversee fiscal operations of the Center, fee for service billing and patient accounting, and managed care claims processing. The position requires strong financial management and in-depth knowledge of health care billing (medical required – dental preferred). The selected candidate must be able to demonstrate prior successful development and implementation of business and strategic plans and demonstrate financial management knowledge of community based health care services, with experience in clinical or not-for-profit service delivery organizations, and familiarity with third-party reimbursement systems and cost reporting. The selected candidate will manage effectively and foster a cooperative work environment and facilitate team initiatives. Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate politely and courteously with people from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree preferred, in related field and at least 5 years financial management experience preferably in a not-for-profit health/dental/social services industry. Registered Nurses – Adult Med

Hamilton Health Center is currently recruiting Registered Nurses for our Adult Medical Department. The qualified candidates will provide clinical support for the administrative and clinical needs of the providers, assuring efficient operational support and providing nursing care support for Providers. The positions reports to the Chief Clinical Manager and will supervise clinical staff and supervise Care Coordinators in the respective department of patient healthcare outcomes.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school, successfully completing state board and have license to practice as a Register Nurse in the Commonwealth of PA. At least two years’ experience in patient care and one year of supervisory experience is required. Must be able to communicate politely and courteously with people from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds and be comfortable working with individuals with HIV disease. Must have ability to work independently with little direct supervision, and also be a team player within the department, reflecting strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain harmonious, productive working relationships with Center’s management, physicians, clinicians, and general public. Prior work experience or familiarity with clinical based centers is a plus.

Prevention Specialist-Baby Love

Hamilton Health Center, Inc., is currently recruiting for a Prevention Specialist to work under the guidelines of the Baby Love prevention program. This position provides educational group sessions on various topics, information disseminations, and other community activities to youth within Dauphin County to prevent at risk behaviors within the county and promote healthy choice outcomes.

Must have knowledge of substance abuse and treatment practices and community resources and programs and have respect for contributions and needs of multiple disciplines.  Must be able to establish and maintain nonjudgmental, respectful relationships with clients, peers and other service providers, and communicate respect and empathy for cultural and lifestyle differences. Must be able to establish and maintain harmonious, productive working relationships with Center’s management, physicians, clinicians, and general public. Able to demonstrate accurate, clear, and concise verbal and written communication, documenting confidentiality regulations as required, possessing basic computer skills.  Also, must be able to demonstrate initiative, motivation and autonomy.

Educational qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or Education, Psychology or other Human Services, preferably holding degree in social work or education. Physical requirements include being able to handle moderate physical activity, including handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Must be able to speak and listen over the telephone. At least one years experience preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and/or ability to travel to ensure ability to facilitate sessions at various sites.

Medical Assistant

Hamilton Health Center is currently recruiting an experienced Medical Assistant to help support our growing Clinical Departments. This position provides assistance to Providers with direct patient care in an ambulatory care clinic setting under the supervision of a team leader, including initial patient triage, registration, and administrative services, assists with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol.

Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of health care services, including understanding of MA role and have excellent medical terminology knowledge and basic data entry computer skills. Must be able to communicate politely and courteously with people from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, be industrious and have good communication skills. Also must be able to establish and maintain harmonious, productive working relationships with Center’s management, physicians, clinicians, and general public. Must be a graduate of accredited medical assistant program and be CPR Certified or able to obtain certification within 6 months of job placement. Dental Assistant

Hamilton Health Center is currently recruiting a Dental Assistant for our growing Dental Department. The successful candidate will provide assistance to Dental Providers with direct patient care at a community based dental center/ and/or school based center under the supervision of the Office Manager – Dental. Patient population includes all age groups with varied dental hygiene history and dental treatments.

Must be a graduate of accredited dental assistant program and be CPR Certified or able to obtain certification within 6 months of job placement. Must have current X-Ray Certification. Must be able to handle moderate physical activity, including handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. At least one years experience preferred. Must be able to work in a community based clinical environment and rotate to School Based setting when required by the Center and satisfactorily pass background screening including child abuse clearance. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training. Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred. Must be able to work some evening and other extended hours as needed.

Billing Supervisor

 Hamilton Health Center, Inc, a Federally Qualified Health Care center servicing residents in Central Pennsylvania, is currently recruiting for a  Billing Supervisor.  The position is responsible for the establishment of appropriate and compliant Policies and Procedures pertaining to billing of third party payors/patients for all health care services rendered by Hamilton Health Center (“HHC”) staff.  In addition, this is a supervisory position responsible for providing daily oversight and direction of clerical support for the billing functions and for ensuring high quality, timely completion of work, accurate data entry, efficient processes, and  positive working relationships with internal and external customers and must regularly handle multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of health care billing procedures including coding, documentation and standards and have excellent disposition and ability to communicate effectively with employees, other staff, patients and insurance company representatives.

Qualified candidates should have an Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; Certified Coder preferred, at least three to five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the supervision of billing and collection operations in a medical setting with FQHC experience preferred.

Customer Service Patient Registration

Hamilton Health Center is currently recruiting for call center help in our Medical Registration Department. The purpose of this position is to schedule patient appointments, manage the Providers’ schedules in all medical departments according to set protocol of each department and direct all incoming calls of the PBX in a manner that will enhance corporate image and increase customer satisfaction.

Unit Clerk- bilingual

Hamilton Health Center is currently recruiting a bilingual Spanish speaking Unit Clerk to support our Clinical departments. This position provides clerical and secretarial support assistant for the Provider staff. Duties include taking messages for medical staff to include the date, time and nature of the call, as per department protocol, complete referrals requested by walk-ins, call-ins, and fax requests, prepare and package mail for mail, process referrals for off-site specialties, and diagnostic testing, including logging and tracking the information as required.

Incumbent must understand principles of confidentiality and maintain patient confidentiality at all times, as well as demonstrate professionalism with patient and co-workers. Must be industrious and have good communication skills and legible handwriting, and have ability to get along with clients, co-workers and supervisors. Incumbent must have thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation and knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.  Ability to carry out assignments requiring the obtaining of facts, organization of material evaluation of data obtained and preparation of recommendations based thereon. High School diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited medical assistant or secretary program preferred. Must have medical experience, certified nursing assistant certification or equivalent preferred.

Patient Advocate/Interpreter – Bi-Lingual

Hamilton Health Center, Inc., a health care center servicing residents in Central Pennsylvania, is currently recruiting for a bi-lingual Spanish speaking Interpreter –Patient Advocate.  The position assists in the resolution of patient complaints, improve patient flow by working with patients to complete forms, answer wait time questions by interfacing with medical staff, patient and assist health benefits activities as necessary and assist in translation and interpretation throughout the Center. Must have a high school degree or equivalent, additional Associates degree or formal Social Service/Business/Technical training/education preferred. Minimum of one year experience in a patient customer contact position, medical background and medical interpretation certification and training preferred.  Experience in dealing with difficult customer situations and experience with Medical translation and interpretation required. Must be able to handle moderate physical activity and be able to stand/sit or walk as needed in the completion of daily duties. Must be able to speak and listen over the telephone, and interact with patients in friendly helpful manner.  Bi-lingual Spanish speaking required.
